Nigeria and Brazil unite against HIV

The Nigerian government and the Brazilian government agreed Friday 10 October in Lagos to produce medication for people who live with HIV/AIDS.

Hassan Lawal, the Nigerian Minister of Health, said to the Press that details of the collaboration are completed and that the laboratory of Yaba, in the state of Lagos, will be modernized.
Actually, in Nigeria, more than 3 million inhabitants are living with VIH, and only 225,000 of them can get a treatment.

Mr Lawal said that tuberculosis, respiratory diseases, measles and diarrhoea, responsible of the high death rate in Nigeria, are cared for by the government.

Les gouvernements Nigérien et Brézilien s'allient contre le VIH

Le gouvernement nigérien et le gouvernement brésilien se sont accordés le vendredi 10 octobre, à Lagos, pour produire des antidotes pour les personnes vivant avec le VIH.

Hassan Lawal, le ministre de la santé nigérien, a déclaré à la presse que les détails de la collaboration sont achevés et que le laboratoire de Yaba, dans l'état de Lagos, serait modernisé.
Actuellement, au Nigéria, Plus de 3 millions d'habitants vivent avec le virus du VIH, et seulement 225 000 ont accès aux traitements.

M Lawal déclara que la tuberculose, les maladies respiratoires, la rougeole et la diarrhée, responsables du haut taux de mortalité au Nigéria, recevaient l'attention du gouvernement.
