A Second Certified Airport In Nigeria

November 10, 2017, the Nnamdi Azikwe International, the Abuja Airport has been certified by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) whose headquarters are located in the airport in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (INCO) standard, an international organization which depends of the United Nations.

Muktar Umar, the Director General Captain of the NCAA, made this known while presenting the certificates to the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority in Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma.

Nigeria is the only country in Africa with 2 certified airports, the second one is the Lagos International Airport.

There is a strategy to promote uniformity in the maintenance of aerodrome infrastructure, air navigation infrastructure and associated services with the aim of enhancing safety and efficiency.


Un deuxième aéroport certifié au Nigeria


Le 10 novembre 2017, l’aéroport international Nnamdi Azikwe, situé à Abuja, Nigeria, a été certifié par l’Autorité Nigériane de l’Aviation Civile, dont le siège social situé sur l’aérodrome. Cette certification était conforme à l’Organisation Internationale de l’Aviation Civile standard, une organisation internationale qui dépend des Nations-Unies.

Muktar Umar, le directeur général capitaine de l’Autorité nigériane de l’Aviation Civile l’a fait savoir lorsqu’il présentait les certificats au directeur général de l’Autorité Aéroportuaire Fédérale du Nigeria, Saleh Dunoma.

Le Nigeria est le seul pays en Afrique à posséder 2 aéroports certifiés, le second étant l’Aéroport international de Lagos.

Il existe une stratégie de promotion de l'uniformité dans le maintien des infrastructures d'aérodrome, de la navigation aérienne et des services associés afin d’en améliorer la sécurité et l’efficacité.
