Ten soldiers killed in clash with ISIS
Monday December 7, 2020; clashes erupted when a group of Nigerian soldiers stormed a camp of ISIS fighters in the village of alagarno in the Damboa district of Borno State, northeast of the country.
According to several sources, the clash resulted in the death of 10 soldiers and allowed ISIS to take a Nigerian soldier hostage.
Two “security” sources agreed to testify about this clash. The first recapitulates the Nigerian forces losses in this fight: "We lost ten soldiers in the fighting and one was taken hostage by the terrorists". The second source provided more details: "It was an intense battle and the terrorists also suffered losses but they were able to dominate the soldiers", indicates the second source. The jihadists are reported to have seized four vehicles including a truck and an armored vehicle.
The two sources asked to remain anonymous to avoid possible reprisals.
Dix soldats tués dans un affrontement avec l’Etat Islamique
Lundi 7 décembre 2020, dans le village d’Alagarno dans le district de Damboa dans l’Etat de Borno au nord-est du pays, des affrontements ont éclaté quand un groupe de soldats a attaqué un camp de combattants du groupe de l’Etat Islamique.
D’après plusieurs sources, le bilan de cet
affrontement aurait causé la mort de 10 soldats et aurait permis à l’Etat
Islamique d’en prendre un en otage.
